ABOUT RECORDING JOBS CONNECTION NEWS

February 18, 2002

If you are seeking a position in the recording arts field, become a registered user of this site.  Fill out the REQ subscriber listing request form and say yes to "Register Me."  This registers you both as a user of Recording Engineer's Quarterly and Recording Jobs Connection News.  If you are a paid Alexander Magazine subscriber, use the Alexander Magazine Subscriber request form.  Sorry, we only post listings requested from subscribers or from RID graduates.
A new feature begins March 1, 2002 for Recording Jobs Connection registered users.  You will have an e-mail directory for every USA recording studio we could find - a great resource for those seeking a job or intern position.

Since Recording Jobs Connection News first published two months ago, we have forwarded several resumes to employers and helped one graduate get placed in a paid starting position.

Even though you may not see all of our activity, it still goes on.  We forward resumes to employers when we see a good "match" (when the resume matches well with the candidate specifications by employers).  Although we can't guarantee your resume will be forwarded,  job seekers getting their resume forwarded receive a copy of an e-mail that reads something like this:

Manager:
Here's a resume that was received via our recording jobsconnection.com postings - looks good.
RID PLACEMENT
Position Available / Position Wanted Postings
We have begun posting the "Positions Wanted" listings for Alexander Magazine Subscribers, RID Graduates and REQ Subscribers.  Use the e-mail links on the postings to ask for a complete resume or for additional information.  If you submitted a form and don't see a posting, please resubmit as we have been experiencing technical difficulty in getting the information through our server properly.
Employers are being asked to resubmit forms for our "Positions Available" postings.  Through experience we found that we didn't ask for enough information on our original form and have updated the form.  It s important that you either give us the URL of your website or describe your facilities or company.
